Bryan was the vice president and media director for the Oregon Pit Crew, which is the Oregon Ducks student section. He was also the founder of the media team for the student section. As editor-in-chief of the Pit Crew blog (uopitcrew.com), the website was awarded Top College Athletics Blog by eCollegeFinder. Bryan helped establish a platform for students to gain hands-on experience with sports media on campus at the University of Oregon. He hired and led a staff of enthusiastic students interested in writing, design, photography, public relations, marketing and fundraising.
As the lead social media manager, Bryan was also in charge of a Twitter feed with over ten thousand followers and a Facebook page with over four thousand subscriptions. Under his leadership, the website and social media combined for over 900,000 impressions per month. His work with the Pit Crew also helped him maintain relationships with Nike, Oregon Ducks Athletic Department, ESPN, Red Bull, Chipotle, Kind Healthy Snacks, Oregon IMG Sports Networking, and the ASUO student government.
Under the leadership of Bryan, NBA legend Bill Walton called the Oregon Pit Crew the most organized student section in the country during a national ESPN broadcast. Bryan also helped run multiple events, including a 3-on-3 basketball tournament at Matt Knight Arena as well as a pep rally attended by around 1000 UO students.
